This is a rare natural phenomenon that occurs only at a few places on earth.

This rehabilitation facility became part of the Akeso Group in October 2013. Based in Kommetjie, close to the beach, Stepping Stones is a 30-bed acute (primary) facility for psychiatric patients with a dual diagnosis that includes addiction. Stepping Stones opened in 1998 and serves an international clientele.

The Beach House is a secondary facility with 15 beds. It is located directly on the beach and patients can stay there for up to 2 months whilst they recover fully. Most clients move on to the Beach House once they are discharged from Stepping Stones.
