The
Yeti is the final animal to be unlocked, kept hidden as
the "secret animal" or "Bonus" . Despite the fact it is seen as the most dangerous animal it is very shy and mindless, and will run away at
extreme speeds if the hunter is detected at a distance. The Yeti kills the hunter by
grabbing his legs and repeatedly smashing him against the ground. It is
incorrectly given the stats of the Tyrannosaurus on
the hunt menu. The Yeti also has a similar AI and same call as the bear. The Yeti has white fur
and red skin.
The Yeti is more aggressive in the iOS
version, running towards you at the sound of a gun shot, making more of the
them in an area a threat.
The Yeti or Abominable
Snowman (Nepali: हिममानव, lit. "mountain
man") is an ape-like cryptid taller
than an average human that is said to inhabit the Himalayan region
of Nepal and Tibet.[3] The names Yeti and Meh-Teh are commonly used by the people
indigenous to the region, and are part of their history and mythology. Stories
of the Yeti first emerged as a facet of Western popular culture in the 19th
century.
The scientific community
generally regards the Yeti as a legend, given the lack of conclusive evidence,[4] but
it remains one of the most famous creatures of cryptozoology. Analysis of samples associated
with claimed yetis found a sequence of mitochondrial DNAthat matched a sample from an
ancient polar bear jawbone
found in Norway, that dates back to between 40,000 and 120,000 years ago.
The only instance thus far that modern humans interacted with
these creatures close enough to at least study their appearance occurred in
1947 A.D, when an expedition led by the immortal Lin was venturing to find the lost
paradise Shangri-La.
When the group came under attack by the forces of General Yang and the resurrected Emperor Han, Lin sent out a
cry for aid in the Yeti language. Answering the call was three such beasts who
apparently knew Lin and were friendly to her.
At the time of 1947,
there were at least three of these animals living in the Himalayas.
For animals, the Yeti were mentally-advanced creatures with
enough sentience to have their own language and to befriend other creatures
including humans, cooperating well with those that could speak their tongue.
Yetis were roughly
nine-feet tall, with thick white fur and blue eyes; agile, yet affable-natured
creatures, Yeti had high intelligence; to the extent that they could express
recognizable emotions, such as a sense of humor.
The nature of the Yetis was based in part on the lively nature
of linebackers in football, a choice made known by the writers of the third Mummy film.
The existence of the
Yeti is disputed still, with many expeditions having gone to the Himalayas to
find them. Some sources dictate that the Yeti is a surviving humanoid from
prehistoric times, while many people of the Himalayan mountains believe that
the Yeti is a spiritual shaman known as "Banjhakri".
